Posters Only is a collection of posters made throughout the VCU class Posters Only. It involved creating posters that were based off of briefs, provided by clients, for real events happening in the Richmond area.

this is focusing on the emotional/psychological aspects of studying abroad. i completed a daily writing practice that i accompanied with a map of florence, overlaying the writings where i was having these moments of reflection. i wanted to focus on the lesser talked about aspects of studying abroad: the emotional setbacks & growth.

this explores the grieving process; how it isn't linear, and everyone goes through it differently. this triptych shows just three different aspects of the grieving process as a whole that i felt i went through after suffering a loss in the past year. the letters are separated and connected through writings pertaining to the concepts: grief, loss, hope. it became a coping mechanism for me to make it through the loss and put some form of writing to these ideas.

"the battle awaits" is an analysis of the propaganda created during World War II, looking into what affected the stylistic and design choices of the time. This project was made to turn this old propaganda modern, making new stylistic choices that emulate what's popular today in design. This is a political poster to try and convince someone in the 1940s war era to join the war effort, and features a list of battles, and a “what battle are you?” quiz.
